Mark Woodgett - DeaconHi, I’m Mark. I was born and brought up in Dereham, moved away with my job at 18 but came back to live with my wife and family in 1990. I am married to Clare and we have a daughter, Rosie, who is married to Mark Ullanowski; and a son David.
I became a Christian on 11th November 2000 and have attended DBC ever since.
I work locally for Quebec Hall, a Christian Residential Home and Bungalow Complex. In my free time I like to keep the garden looking good, enjoy going to the cinema and eating out.
In my role as contact deacon for mission and aid, I have set up an "Action In Mission Dereham" team. We focus on local mission in Dereham and World wide Mission. We have held many men’s and woman’s breakfast’s and dinners, some with speakers. We help to plan men’s events; mixed events, musical events and Celebration of Life afternoon teas and Ester Spa Days. I am on the board of directors at our Green Pastures Bookshop and you can quite often find me at our Guy’s for God prayer meeting’s on a Monday morning at 6am. Above all, I am passionate about Jesus and sharing the good news.
