Listen to him! (15/9/21)

This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him! Mark 9:7b

Above are the words of God the Father, spoken from a cloud at the transfiguration of Jesus, which you can read about in Mark 9:2-13. This must have been a significant moment, not just for Jesus, but for the disciples he took up the mountain with him: Peter, James and John. But given that this all happened within a week of the conversations in Mark 8:27-33, it must have been particularly meaningful for Peter. I think that there is perhaps a message here for us too, so I'm chatting about that in today's video message, which you can watch by CLICKING HERE.

I was particularly blessed on Sunday morning by those who came up to the front to share words and testimonies. We have not really been able to do that for a long time, and it was wonderful to have so many words of encouragement and exhortation. God is ready and willing to speak through any and all of us, so if you hear something from him that you think is for the wider church, please do pass it on. Praying that as you open your ears to Jesus today, you will hear him clearly. Nigel The Eastern Baptist Association prayer focus this week is for the EBA Annual Gathering.
