Sunday 19th March 2023

Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit."

John 20:21-22

This morning, following our breakfast at 9am, we will be continuing our Lent series as we meet The People of the Resurrection. Lisa Ellis and I will be looking into the stories of 7 encounters with Jesus after he had risen, from the discovery of the empty tomb right up to his ascension into heaven. What difference did these encounters with Jesus make to those involved? And how does this help to remind us of the difference the risen Jesus can make to us today?

It is Lisa's last Sunday with us today, as her 5-week placement from Moorlands College comes to an end. She has been a fantastic blessing in a whole variety of ways and we will be sad to see her go. Thank you to all of you who have encouraged and supported her during her time with us.

In the evening at 7.30 pm, it is the monthly prayer meeting for the work of our Christians Against Poverty Debt Centre, which is managed by Morgan Cockbill. We meet online and all are welcome, so if you would like to come and join us then all you need to do is CLICK HERE around the time the meeting is starting.

Dereham's Queen Mother's Garden was officially reopened on Friday afternoon. If you haven't been yet, it is well worth a visit, not least to see the invitation to Jesus that we at Dereham Churches Together have been able to put on the wall, above the bench we donated. It's so good to see it there, proclaiming him to our town. Pop in when you are next in town, and let's pray that those familiar words draw people towards Jesus.
