Dear Church,
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.
Psalm 20:7-8
Today we are going to continue our look at the first few verses in Psalm 146. Without giving anything away, today’s message can be found by CLICKING HERE.
The next 2 paragraphs were in Tuesday’s email but thought I’d leave them in this one as well, as a reminder: Now, some information about an exciting new venture. A little while ago, the elders received an email from each of the Ministers’ wives, sent on the same day but entirely independently. Both emails had the same goal – to create opportunities for people to gather together with others in smaller groups. It seemed clear that God was in this, and so Elaine & Beckie have come together to develop the idea of groups for 3-5 people called Thrive groups. For further details of this, and information on how you can get involved, have a look at the box below this one, or CLICK HERE for a PDF version.
If you are a DBC Church Member, then we want to remind you that we have our AGM on Sunday 25th April at 3pm. This is a Zoom meeting but there are a limited number of places available in the church building for any who are unable to connect by Zoom. Please book in here – or ring Julie on 01362 695221 / 07749 542059 Mon-Fri 9-12
Open Garden weekend is coming up this weekend.
We do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved. Hebrews 10:39
Love and Blessings,
Dave
