Saturday's News (from Julie)

Tomorrow we will continue our series about Prayer, with thoughts about "Praying for Others" .. which has a long worded sub title of "Do we care for someone enough, that we will speak to God on their behalf." It will draw lessons from Abraham's "praying for others" in Genesis 18 v 16-33. Why not refresh your memory of it by reading it before you come.

Throughout August there are a series of 'Open Gardens' where we can meet and spend time together in someone's garden. The first one is at Eileen and Richard Fisher's on 7th August and as they have someone doing the catering, would like you to book in prior to 1st August so that they know how many they are catering for. Please book in here: https://derehambaptist.churchsuite.com/events/9ygmvrbh

Next Sunday, 24th July, we have another opportunity to gather together at Letton Hall to worship instead of a service in our building. It will begin at 10.30 and will finish at 2pm. Please bring something to sit on, a camping gazebo if you'd like shelter - and a picnic (this is NOT a 'bring and share' but just be prepared to share your picnic if people arrive without food). As a church we have agreed to provide refreshments and allow use of our toilets to coincide with Dencora's Fun Day on Saturday, August 27th. Please let me know if you'd be prepared to help serve refreshments or make a cake to bless our community.

This week's notice sheet can be found by clicking here and has an extra sheet with information about the upcoming Bible Book Club.

Message from Ian Gardner:

Hi Church, just wanted to thank you for the welcome and words of encouragement you gave to our new BMS Link Missionary - she was greatly blessed. Should you want some further information, please speak to Ian Gardner or Paul Taylor
