Sunday 22nd August 2021

How are you doing this fine day? Here's a quote from Mark 6:50b (NLT) But Jesus spoke to them at once. "Don't be afraid," he said. "Take courage! I am here! These words were spoken to a terrified group of his disciples. I'm not sure how you are this day but know that Jesus says the same to you in your situation: Take courage. I am here!

I was greatly blessed to see how large the turnout was for the church garden makeover yesterday. We had a fantastic time working together, drinking tea (other drinks were available) and eating scones and bacon butties. Thank you all for being such a blessing to me, the church and the community as we look towards opening up our God-given facilities in the coming weeks. If you haven't seen what people have been doing, please do take a look in the church garden.

Today in the service we will be looking at Mark 6, focussing on verses 1-6. But please do read the whole chapter in preparation for today, if you haven't already done so. Ask God to speak to you through it as you read and as you come to the service.

Great are the works of the Lord;

they are pondered by all who delight in them.

3 Glorious and majestic are his deeds,

and his righteousness endures for ever.

4 He has caused his wonders to be remembered;

the Lord is gracious and compassionate.

5 He provides food for those who fear him;

he remembers his covenant for ever. Psalm 111:2-5

Blessings,

Dave
