At Dereham Baptist Church we have a Portuguese-speaking family, a community of God's people dedicated to serving the Lord Jesus and promoting His name.

We have members from Portugal, Brazil, Angola, and various countries around the world, and our cultural diversity enriches and strengthens us. Come be a part of our warm and united family that loves to praise the Lord longs to learn from Him. You will be very welcome!

Our Meetings

Family Worship in Portuguese: Every Saturday at 6 PM (various themes), with Holy Communion on the first Saturday of the month. We have special classes for children and teenagers. After the services, we always have fellowship with time for coffee/tea and something sweet or savoury to eat.
Online prayer service in Portuguese: Every Wednesday at 7:30 PM - contact Pastor Paulo (paulo@derehambaptist.org) to find out how to participate.
Deep Roots (Youth Group): Meets at the church on the first and third Friday of every month, 6 PM - 8 PM, with games, food, fellowship, and a strong presence of the Lord. Activities are mainly in English, although many of our members come from Portuguese-speaking families.

Pr Paulo and Team

Our Portuguese speaking congregation is led by a blessed, dedicated team committed to making the name of Jesus known in the Dereham area. Pastor Paulo has been a minister in the congregation since 2024 and has a missionary heart, having pastored in São Paulo and directed missionary work in Crackolandia. He is married to Heather, an Englishwoman, and has two children. Come and meet us, you will be very welcome!
