Hezekiah held fast to the Lord and did not stop following him. 2 Kings 18: 6
Hi all,
Today, we are continuing to reflect on the first section of Psalm 146, which we looked at together on Sunday morning. If you missed the livestream, you can watch it back here, or if you just want to watch the sermon, that is available here. It can also be listened to on 01362 709389, so if you know anyone who does not have internet access and would like to hear it, please pass on the number to them.
In the video message this morning, I look at what we can learn from King Hezekiah about trusting in God in challenging circumstances, and you can watch that by CLICKING HERE. The video is followed by Chris Tomlin’s song “Whom Shall I Fear”, which you can hopefully use for further reflection and response.
Now, some information about an exciting new venture. A little while ago, the elders received an email from each of the Ministers’ wives, sent on the same day but entirely independently. Both emails had the same goal – to create opportunities for people to gather together with others in smaller groups. It seemed clear that God was in this, and so Elaine & Beckie have come together to develop the idea of groups for 3-5 people called Thrive groups. For further details of this, and information on how you can get involved, have a look at the box below this one, or CLICK HERE for a PDF version.
Also, don’t miss the green box further down the email, which provides you with an opportunity to join others in a garden this coming weekend. We have lots of lovely people with lovely gardens, who are ready to welcome you and enjoy your company. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity for you to begin to venture out in a safe way.
If you are a DBC Church Member, then we want to remind you that we have our AGM on Sunday 25th April at 3pm. This is a Zoom meeting but there are a limited number of places available in the church building for any who are unable to connect by Zoom. Please book in here – or ring Julie on 01362 695221/ 07749 542059 Mon-Fri 9-12
Wow – lots today! One final thing: The Eastern Baptist Association Prayer Focus this week is on King Street Baptist Church in Thetford. Please click here for their prayer points.
