baptise you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Matthew 3:11
Dear Julie & Derek,
This morning we have a service at 10.30am in our building. We have reached the final part of our 5-week series on the symbols of the Holy Spirit, and as you can probably guess from the verse above, this week we are considering the Holy Spirit as fire. What does this symbol represent? What does that mean for us? How might we respond? Come along to find out! We'd love to see you there.
Following that at 12.30pm, we have a Church Members' meeting ... well two of them to be precise! We have a special one immediately followed by a "normal" one, or as normal as one gets! As the name suggests, these meetings are only for members of DBC. If you are not a member and you'll like to know more about what it means, then please do ask Dave or myself, or any member of the Leadership Team. If you are a member, then don't forget to bring some lunch to keep you going!
In the evening, at 7.30pm, we are gathering online to pray for the work of our Christians Against Poverty Debt Centre.
Thanks all,
Nigel
