The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
John 1:5
We have 3 services today: 1 at Toftwood Village Hall and 2 at the main church building. In Toftwood it is the Little Fishes Big Nativity, which starts at 10am and is especially designed for families. Dave is leading that, along with a great team. Please pray for that event, that many would come and engage with God. At DBC, instead of our all-age celebration, we are having a short and more reflective Christmas service, which begins at 10.30am. There will still be tables in place for families to sit together and there will be some craft activities available. Then at 5pm, it is our Candlelight Carol Service, which is open to all, and is a great opportunity to invite your family members, friends and neighbours. Mask wearing in church is now mandatory so please come prepared. We would also encourage you to continue to wear your masks while singing to keep droplet spread to a minimum (which is the purpose of masks anyway). Also, due to the recent COVID increases, there will not be refreshments served at either service. Please continue to pray for the Marsh family, and for those who know and love them, following the tragic loss of Bonnie. If you would like to gather with others to pray, then we have two opportunities for you: A Zoom meeting at 2pm, which you can access by clicking here, and a gathering in DBC's back hall at 4pm. Finally, thank you to Lyn Milns, and to all who helped with our Wreath Festival over the last few days. It was a great success and created many opportunities to fruitfully engage with those in our community.
