Sunday 7th August 2022

Ezra writes, "Because the hand of the Lord my God was on me, I took courage", and this is our key verse for this year. So, the hand of the Lord is on us, therefore we can take courage...but have you ever thought about the circumstances needed for courage to be taken? It has to be against something that causes fear, or is difficult or impossible or too big to manage. When we face those things and act anyway, that is when we are courageous. Over the next 4 weeks we will be exploring the key verse a bit more in the context of stories of courage from the Old Testament. Today is week 1.

Our service at church is at 10.30am which will include Communion. It will not be live-streamed. Our youth and Children's summer program will be taken by the Farmer family this Sunday.

Then, the first 'Open Garden' will be at Eileen & Richard Fisher's.

This evening at 5.30pm there will be a time of prayer for our Mission Partners during which one of them will give a presentation. Please note that due to the sensitivity of the situation with this particular mission partner, it is requested that you do a Lateral Flow Test showing a negative result before coming out.

I look forward to seeing those of you who are able to make it.

Love and Blessings,

Dave
