Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.
Jeremiah 17:7
Hello again church,
I hope you are coping OK with the ongoing uncertainty as we continue to journey forward. I've posted the passage above to remind us that although we may not feel very confident about the way things are at the moment, we can be fully confident in the Lord, no matter what. He will continue to provide us with all that we need so that we can continue to be fruitful. What does that look like for you today? Where might you be able to have an impact in the lives of others? Go for it!
For today's video message, we dip into the last section of Mark 2 to consider Jesus' teaching about Sabbath. What point is he making to his listeners? And what does that mean for us today? You can watch the video by CLICKING HERE. This Sunday morning we are moving into Mark 3, so please do take the opportunity to have a read of that beforehand. The service is open to all, and you don't need to sign up, so why not come along? And while this service will not be livestreamed, we are aiming to do an audio recording of the message so that it can be accessed from our website.
There is no open garden this Sunday, and the Mission Prayer meeting has been moved to the following Sunday, the 8th.
Finally, are you a regular user of social media? Keith Mersh is looking for someone
I pray that you will know the blessings of God today, and be able to share them with others.
Nigel
These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. Colossians 2:17
