Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you all. Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who live in them. Isaiah 42:10 This verse is the beginning of a song of praise to God as a response to his declaration of doing a new thing (Verses 8-9). We worship the God of the new and often 'the new' becomes our focus as we enter a new year - 2023 - but I suggest that our focus begins with God and our song of praise and adoration for who he is (See Psalms 96 & 98) Therefore, let's begin this year with gathering together on the first Sunday (today) at 10.30 for our communion service where I will be preaching on 'The God who Promises'. There isn't any organised children's or youth provision but there will be tables down one side of the church for families which will have some activities on, based around the theme. The plan is for it to be a shorter-than-usual service. There is a lot of food in the community fridge available. Please see video from Athena for the Community Fridge which is open 10-11am Monday 2nd January...
