Saturday's News from Julie

Tonight the Portuguese-speaking congregation has Pastor Paulo coming again to preach, which will be translated. All welcome. He will also be at both our services on Sunday with wife Heather.

Tomorrow we have an Early Service at 9am followed by 'Mingle & Munch' before All-Age Worship starts at 10.45. This we hope will give opportunity for greater connectivity with those who attend the Early Service and those coming along for the All-Age Service. Do make use of these times to get to know others, and enjoy conversation and refreshments.

Also tomorrow is the joint Dereham Churches Together service for the Week of Christian Unity at The Salvation Army, St Nicholas Street, at 4pm

Reminder of the request (for the February All Age service) for gravy granule cardboard pots. As soon as possible to Pat and Mike please.

There are just 2 weeks to go before the discount ends for booking the 'Awaken' Event. We very much hope that there will be lots of us from DBC able to be together! The information on the website (https://awakenevent.uk/) says:

"We are so thrilled to see this event building and gathering momentum and we know that it is significant for the church in our nation at this time. Once again we will be on the Lincolnshire showground over the August Bank Holiday weekend expecting and experiencing a great move of the Holy Spirit as we gather together. Awaken is a time of Celebration and our strapline FAITH, FAMILY, FUN really does sum it up. 

The event includes everything you love about a summer gathering, with dynamic worship, inspirational teaching, encounters with the Holy Spirit and opportunities to go deeper in faith. There are great kids and youth programmes, activities for the whole family and space to be together in Church Community.

We're excited to step into all that God has for us and are looking forward to seeing you there".
